Application:

The Musi IV Bridge, which connects both sides of the Musi River in the city of Palembang in South Sumatra, is a highly anticipated addition to the city, where heavy traffic congestion can occur during peak hours. The 12-meter-wide and 1,130-meter-long Musi IV Bridge is designed for a lifespan of up to 100 years and is built to be earthquake-resistant. The main span of the bridge was constructed using the extradosed method, which combines the load-bearing behavior of a cable-stayed bridge and a beam bridge. In this bridge design, prestressing tendons are used outside the cross-sectional envelope. For the prestressing works of the pylons and the launching gantries, SAS Asia supplied SAS 950/1050 and SAS 835/1035 prestressing bars to PT Delta Systech Indonesia.

Scope of delivery:

65 tons of SAS 950/1050 Ø 32 mm and SAS 835/1035 Ø 57 mm, including accessories.
