Application:

The Lotte Tower, standing at 555 m with the highest observation deck at 497.6 m, is currently the second tallest building in Asia. It has a total of 123 floors, including 6 underground levels used as parking spaces. Floors 1-6 are dedicated to retail, floors 7-60 are office spaces, floors 61-85 house apartments, floors 86-119 are for a luxury hotel, and floors 120-123 are open to the public with observation decks.

The SAS threaded rods are part of the vertical and longitudinal reinforcement in the 8 mega-columns. The SAS 600/680 threaded rods were specially developed and approved for this project. Additionally, Doka supplies the formwork systems for both the mega-columns and the core structure, which also utilize SAS formwork anchors.

Scope of delivery:

600 tons of threaded steel for high-strength reinforcement SAS 600/680 Ø 50 mm,
8,140 couplers, and 488 special couplers for transitioning from conventional reinforcement steel to threaded steel SAS 600/680.
