The Laguna Bridge consists of a 1000-meter bridge structure, of which 105 meters span over the Pinheiros River. Through an alternative construction method using precast elements, two temporary piers in the riverbed were eliminated, saving 30% of the construction costs. The lateral approach bridges were built on falsework over live traffic. The SAS prestressing bar system was used to support the weight of the formwork and temporary steel structures.
