ITER will be the first fusion facility. The Tokamak is an experimental machine that harnesses the energy of fusion. ITER will be the largest Tokamak in the world. One-meter-thick radial walls connect the massive ITER bio-shield with the Tokamak crown made of concrete, which supports the combined mass of the cryostat, vacuum vessel, magnet system, and heat shield. The connecting components are reinforced with SAS 500 bars.
