Application:

The new Gateway Bridge stands on reinforced concrete piers with dimensions of 15 m in length and 2.5 m in width. The loads from the reinforced concrete piers are transferred to pile cap foundations with an area of 19.5 m in length, 17.6 m in width, and a thickness of 3.2 m. These loads are distributed into the load-bearing ground through piles with a diameter of 1.8 m. The pile caps are reinforced with SAS 835/1035 tension rods Ø 75 mm to provide horizontal and vertical prestressing in the main pile caps.

Scope of delivery:

150 SAS 835/1035 tension rods Ø 75 mm for the foundation of the bridge piers,
SAS couplers are used for the rigid connection of the SAS tension rods.
