Our science-based targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
We are pleased to announce that Stahlwerk Annahütte has approved near and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The SBTi has also verified Stahlwerk Annahütte’s net-zero science based target by 2045.
This milestone confirms that our targets are aligned with climate science and supports our contribution to the transition towards a net-zero economy.
Near-term targets
Stahlwerk Annahütte commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 61.68 % by 2033 from a 2021 base year. We also commit to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 35.89 % within the same timeframe.
Long-term targets
Stahlwerk Annahütte commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90.0 % by 2045 from a 2021 base year. We also commit to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90.0 % within the same timeframe.
Net-zero target
Stahlwerk Annahütte commits to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2045.
By setting and validating these science-based targets, we are taking measurable steps to reduce emissions across our entire value chain.
